This is a police procedural novel at its best that will keep you gripped.
DCI Jack Mason is tasked with finding a missing police officer and in doing so he is dragged back into cases that are long past.
This book can be read as one of the series or as a standalone and even if you have not read the others you can still enjoy this one.
This story is action packed and clearly well researched. The setting rotates between Northumberland and Amsterdam.
The characters are well described and very visual and you are invested into what happens to them.
It is a book you are not going to want to put down and it is highly recommended and well written.
