Charlie Briggs is a crook and is forced to lie low after a job went wrong. He is always on the hunt for ways to make money and finds it in an old book shop when he finds a valuable book that he knows he can make money on.
Everything though is not as it seems and he soon regrets finding this book at all.
This novella is truly haunting and an amazing read. It is atmospheric and a book to lose yourself in even if you feel chilled at the mysterious nature of the storyline.
